On-the-spot cost estimations for radio ad campaigns. A novel, mobile-first approach would enable their representatives to close deals faster, anywhere.
The Challenge
How can iHeartRadio’s sales team create accurate radio ad campaign proposals on the go—and give clients a solid baseline to move one step closer to closing a deal?
Project Initiation
This project originated from an on-site design sprint focused on validating the feasibility of a mobile solution. In collaboration with iHeartRadio stakeholders and CI&T developers, we identified key functional and technical requirements for an effective mobile app. The solution also integrates with—and relies on—IHR’s existing web-based campaign builder platform.
User Context
iHeartRadio (IHR) sales representatives are deeply familiar with specific geographic markets and spend much of their time traveling for in-person client meetings. While a robust campaign builder already exists as a web app, using it on-site proved cumbersome and often hindered productive sales conversations.
Through interviews with reps, we uncovered the core data points they need to build accurate proposals on the spot. These conversations also surfaced opportunities to streamline the workflow and introduced feature ideas to support more flexible client interactions—even in cases where a full proposal wasn’t needed.

Simple, Step-by-Step Flow
I designed a streamlined workflow that minimized data input while maximizing accuracy.
Geographic Setup Optimization
Since most reps are assigned to specific locations, geographic setup is handled once and can be edited via a secondary menu.
Campaign Templates
Reps can duplicate and edit past campaigns to quickly create new proposals—effectively turning them into customizable templates.
Task-Focused Screens
To reduce cognitive overload, I broke down the process into focused screens (e.g., calculator, date picker), rather than presenting one long form. This modular approach also simplified development and allowed easy reordering or removal of steps in future updates.
Quick Sharing
Campaign estimates can be shared directly with clients using the iOS share menu, supporting quick, professional handoffs during meetings.
CRM Integration
Every mobile-created campaign syncs with IHR’s internal web app (built on Salesforce CRM). This ensures reps can continue working on proposals from their office and allows IHR to collect valuable analytics on sales performance.
