I like to think of UX design as craft meets detective work. As a fan of detective fiction and narrative art, questions like "How do we make people use this cool new tech?" or "Why is no one using this feature?" feel like clues, mysteries to be solved and motivations to be uncovered. The answers are dots that connect to become a compelling narrative, and then creativity begins: choosing and applying the approach that best fits the product, the users, and the larger story we tell as an organization. What excites me is delivering creative, useful solutions that genuinely engage users, products that are intuitive, considered, and worth your time.
